About
E.M. Hilt Art
Growing up on several wooded acres in Minocqua, WI, Erin spent her childhood outdoors, where the flora and fauna became her first muses. Wildlife observations, acorn and rock collecting, and frog hunting wove a tapestry of memories that continue to shape her artistic themes.
Erin's pieces feature botanical themes interwoven with elements of the fantastical, primarily focusing on female portraits, flora, bugs, and birds.
In 2022, Erin participated in ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, MI, exhibiting a piece that blends woodworking and oil paints which tackled themes of transformation and sexuality. She relocated to Chicago in early 2023, where she currently resides, and in summer 2024, she participated in Vibrant Cast Galleries' "Other Worlds" show. Erin frequently sells her art at local markets and most recently partnered with Noumenon Dance Ensemble for their dance shows.
Erin is currently immersed in a collection of nature-themed pieces that combine woodworking and oil paint. The collection invites viewers to imagine: What if the art on your wall truly came to life?
